May 2023: Sreemanta receives funding from SERB, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India under SURE scheme.

June 2023: Sreemanta receives funding support from GITAM university, under MURTI facility scheme. Proposal approved and recommended by Prof. BVR Tata, Distinguished Professor, GITAM University. We are getting instruments to fabricate heterostructures of two dimensional materials and study their electronic transport properties.

Dec 2023: Primary constructions of the lab and Sreemanta's new office is completed. We are waiting for our instruments to arrive soon to kick start our research.

Jan 2024: We welcome Mr. Subham Pradhan, who joins the group as a undergraduate research student for his final semester project. He will be working on to optimize the fabrication of various two dimensional materials using top-down approach and their characterizations.

Jan 2024: The first set of minor instruments from Sreemanta's SERB grant has arrived in lab. We are thrilled to open them up.

Feb 2024: Sreemanta is selected as MURTI Faculty Fellow of the GITAM University as one of its first group of faculties.

Feb 2024: We started to receive all our major instruments from various concerns .

April 2024: We are thrilled to receive a 2D van der Waals hybrid fabrication instrument in our lab. New devices are on the way...

May 2024:

Mr. Arup Singha joins us as a research fellow (jointly with Prof. Arindam Ghosh of IISc. Bangalore).
Mr. Agniva Paul joins as a Institute research intern.
Mr. Sachidanand PS joins as a SERB research fellow.
Mr. Badhrinath N and Mr. Prashanth D join as a summer research intern from B.Tech. ECE-AIML
Mr. Shubham Pradhan graduates.

August 2024: Mr. Prashanth D leaves the lab and went back to his host department to finish his UG studies. We wish Prashanth a prosperous career ahead.

September 2024: Agniva receives prestigious MURTI Scholarship (given to the top 25% of the aspirants clearing the PhD interview) to join as a Research Fellow to GITAM.

September 2024: Agniva moved out to follow his passion. We wish him very best.

October 2024: Sanjitha joins as a GITAM Junior Research Fellow. Welcome aboard!!
