About Us

In our coordinated effort we try to employ the understanding of quantum mechanics to develop systems of novel properties arising not only from the collective interactions of electrons but also of electrons with photons and phonons.

We typically, combine a wide range of experimental tools developed in our laboratory or in a close collaboration with other eminent research and academic organizations; utilize the spin, charge and orbital degrees of freedom and tune these using e.g., electric and magnetic field, temperature, dimensionality and chemical composition, and electromagnetic field.

Primarily our materials of interest are semiconductors, but not limited to that, and we studied correlated metals, Dirac semimetals and superconductors as well.                     Sreemanta Mitra
