I was born and brought up in Kolkata, a city in the state of West Bengal in the eastern part of India to a humble middle-class parents. Ever since I can remember, I’d always wanted to be a professional researcher when I grew up. I’ve always found many subjects intriguing and exciting, motivating me to investigate and research as many sources of information as I could get my hands on. 

Currently, I stay in Bangalore with my wife, Amrita, son Trayit and our pet dog Bengu. Books, Music, Photography, and Travelling are some of my hobbies.
